Inpatient and Outpatient Service Furnished to Hospital Trainees. For UIHC trainees hired prior to January 1, 2013, a 100-percent discount will be applied on the balance of total hospital charges for medically necessary services, after application of insurance benefits, for medical, dental, and administrative residents and fellows, including their immediate family, in educational programs sponsored by UIHC who are not eligible for University group health insurance programs. This applies only to those UIHC trainees hired prior to January 1, 2013; those hired on or after January 1, 2013, participate in UIChoice or UISelect.
